Basically, home automation allows you to manage your household (lights, thermostat, security systems, etc.) from connected devices. It eliminates the need for manual controls and performs tasks in real time based on sensory data, schedules, or a prompt from your smart device.

Sensory data includes things like a person entering a room or unlocking a door. Home Automation systems allow you to schedule times for lights to turn on or off, turn on a radio, and can even control your thermostat. If you’re going to be out of town, you can adjust the lights and temperature in your home from your smart device. Some systems even allow you to lock and unlock the doors from anywhere.
